For those of you who don’t know us, let us introduce ourselves.
About Amy:
I have been active in the Peterborough horse community for 18 years as an instructor, stable owner & now tack shop owner. Myself along with business partner Pat Life ran a boarding stable called Kawartha Equine Centre for 7 years. Over those years I met many horse lovers from first time riders to experienced competitors. I still have riders coming into the Hunter St. Saddlery saying---- "do you remember me, you gave me riding lessons when I was 6 years old". I continue to coach riding from several area stables on a part time basis and find it gratifying to help people get maximum enjoyment from their horse and their riding.
Ali Braund
I was one of those 6 year olds that Amy gave her first riding lesson to. We have continued over the years to have a strong bond surrounding horses. Central to both of our lives is a 23 year old appaloosa gelding named "Beau" who is now happily semi-retired as a beginner lesson horse. I now have a chestnut gelding named "Eddie Haskell" who I hope to show on the local Hunter Circuit next year.
I like to keep up with the latest fashions in the horse world. I especially enjoy helping those fashion conscious young riders choose the most appealing colours & styles for both horse & rider.
